If it's a blue screen, odds are you need to update video drivers.

You shoudl update Vista to SP1.

DX is 3.5
OS Vista Premium

I know its not my rig thats the problem:

MotherBoard
ASUS M3A32-MVP Deluxe/WiFi-AP

AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+

System BIOS
Vendor: Phoenix Technologies
Version: 5.04
Date: 08/10/2007

Be sure to use the last versions of ODNT softwares, Using SDC enable the "show pre-release versions" i'm on vista home premium sp1 and everything works fine with the betas.
If you still get problems i guess it's a Vista thing, maybe some bad install (it happens) or you maybe installed some stuff who broke things...
