How the Left Debates

You don't actually have to talk when you are on a mission.  Fists seem to do fine.  And it does not matter if the object of your hatred is not within reach.  Just reach out and clobber someone within reach!

And of course the old adage that boys never hit girls is so sexist!  So if you are German Tallis, who hates Jenna and Laura Bush, just bash Maureen Lovetro!  And don't bother worrying about if she is a cripple in a wheel chair!  That is for the pansies out there!  Just clobber that poor 18 year old Cerebral Palsy lady who was just trying to wave at a The First Lady.

And you will win all your debates! Fortunately for this Mensa debater, his next win will be from Sing Sing.  But based upon past actions, he should have lots of like minded company to talk to.

You know, the rest of the left intelligentsia that are just orally impaired, and have to use hand gestures to make their points.

Wow, this dude is really messed up! I don't know if I would go as far to say this is how the 'left' debates but this dude has some serious issues.

German is lucky Maureen's father didn't kick his coward face in! It would be pretty hard for me to restrain myself from killing someone hitting my disabled daughter.

Dude...that's...uh...

A guy punched a girl in a fucking wheelchair? I would've jumped on him if I'd seen that shit...who the hell does that? Freakin' psycho.

He is lucky. I would have if I was there. I do not tolerate bullies at all.

If this was isolated, that would be an anecdote. However, these type of stories are all too common, and almost all seem to originat with someone who does not like your policies, and theirs are usually far left of center.

What a complete nut case. I'm sure he'll have plenty of time to re-evaluate his thinking while he's spending some time being Bubba's girlfriend.

It's a good thing the right has George W. Bush as their premier orator, otherwise one might think the right has no ability to argue a point, yes sir.

First I'd like to make it known that I think that punching anyone in a wheel chair even if they deserve it is morally wrong.

Second, I'd like to ask why do all of you allow yourselves to be labeled under a single category.  "I'm on the right hahah those lefties are stupid."  Why must you be so manufactured?  Can't it just be "look how stupid this guy is".  Why must you all come under a single heading.  Why must their only exist two sides, you are either on the left or right, for the most part.  ANyone that comes to tell me that you're an independent, don't get me started on how much of a label that has become in its own right.  Why must it be that people are rank and file?  If you're on the right you don't believe in states rights for abortions.  If you are on the left you must believe in talking with our adversaries.  If you are on the right you're this and if you are on the left you're that.  How come we don't just do away with titles and just focus on policy and forget sides?  How is it that republicans, especially ones that have never been to war nor ever been to military school, are stronger on defense?  Why are we so stratified?  Why is it so predictable that in an article poking fun of "lefties" someone (read: the author) would throw in Bill Clinton?  Why are the same people on this website saying the same things over and over again?  (if you tell me you can leave this website then, it only shows how you are going to repeat the same stuff over and over again).  Why is it that people feel they are holier than thou?  You know a right winger zealot once blew up a building in Oklahoma killing hundreds of innocent civilians, and that means that all right wingers rather than argue their points prefer to blow up buildings.  that's the same logic that everyone is employing here.  And as usual it's the usual suspects saying the same things. You know what it feels like, "uniting against the common enemy", "fear of differences", "fearing what we do not know", tribalism, segregation due to a common identity, social acceptance through conforming.  These are some of our most primitive instincts.  In some ivy league business schools, they teach one how to exploit this stuff.  I won't mention names, but it's easy and THEY, being the elitists, constantly use it against you, left or right.  Remember you are a target market.

I know that I'm going to probably be ganged up on with this but it just seems so manufactured.  It's the same stuff you hear on fox news and the mainstream media.  All these opinions are fabricated and repeated over and over again.  Just like when flip-flop came to existence soon as it caught on everyone was repeating it like a bunch of wind up toys pre programmed to spew the exact same phrases over and over again. It's the same old rhetoric.  People are caught up in these groups that are created through political marketing and act in like silverfish in a cohesive fashion.

Does anyone get what I mean? And I know I know if you're reading this and you consider yourself on the "right" or whatever you're thinking in your preprogrammed mind and your recycled reactions "effing lefty" when you see my questions and points just because I am not falling in line with conservative cohesive indoctrinated though, i know you can't help yourself.  Of course you do, htat's because you're incapable of thinking otherwise.  For anyone that reads this and says, wow I might just be following a bit too much, and not thinking on myh own about things then good for you and realize that sometimes the world isn't black and white.

Finally,if this was meant as satire I find this guy punching this girl, only slightly more morrally reprehensible as your apparent use of it to disparage the "other side" in your group mentality.

Sorry, but I am an independent, but in the true sense of the word. I am neither left or right, Democrat or Republican. I lean right on some things, left on others, and smack in the middle on some other stuff.

I know the point you're trying to make but the simple truth is that there are a great number of people who are very much right, very much left, and others that I have no clue where they're coming from.

Perhaps we need another political party, the Common Sense party. I think a lot of us could get on board with that one.

The point of the article, and one I do find quite amusing, is that there are a good many on the extreme left who give lip service to all good things Left, including peace, and yet resort to violence and verbal assault in an attempt to get their view across. It's amusing at best and terribly sad at worst because they obviously don't live what they profess to believe.

But then, I've seen far right types who don't live what they profess either.

And your point is? As you are new, you have the right to say anything you want. On your blog. But making pointless statements and name calling will not be tolerated until you have earned that right with reasoned arguments and logic.

You have been warned.

Oh, and this is not about Bush. Since this is also not about Kerry, Clinton or Obama, any future off topic references will be deleted.

Very good. This should have been your first post, not your second. But to answer your question, this is just the latest in a long list of similar actions (and perhaps the worst example) of the left using their fists instead of words to make a point. You can either read earlier blogs of mine, google it, or do your own research. As this was about the latest (when written) example, I did not feel the need or necessity to recount every incident that supports the title. Please feel free to do so yourself.

I know that I'm going to probably be ganged up on with this but it just seems so manufactured.

We manufactured this liberal neanderthal's actions? Come on, show at least the semblance of sanity here.

It does you no good to spout talking points. it is evident you have no desire to find out why someone on the right beleives as they do, only that they must be programmed. And in so doing, you just committed the same act you accuse me of making. Only worse since I have given proof of my contention, you have only your opinion to back up your statement.

Finally,if this was meant as satire I find this guy punching this girl, only slightly more morrally reprehensible as your apparent use of it to disparage the "other side" in your group mentality.

The category is not humor, so it is not satire. The facts are there. You are welcome to attempt to refute them, but I think that would only make you look foolish.

The sad part of his diatribe is he is demonstrating the left's bunker mentalitiy. It is "you are either for us or against us" thinking and they cannot understand why there are some democrats that do not kowtow to their mindless mantra (and are thus trashed - see Locamama). So if one dares to say that they are independent (as both you and I are), then we are just hiding something. When the truth is we are. I no more like McCain than I do Obama, and have been actively trying to find a reason to vote for Obama, but his supporters are sickening me every day with their hate and stupidity.

I'll go along with ya on McCain/Obama. I don't like either of them and don't feel there's a good choice to be made there.

As for psychx, I also thought he/she was just another left wing loon at first but after interacting with him/her on other threads have found that he/she is actually capable of intelligent thought, reason, and the capability of admitting the use of hyperbole when called on it. Unlike a true loon, he/she is even capable of admitting to being wrong on a point (true un-loon like behavior).

I think, being new, he/she just hasn't yet had the time to learn who is who here and what the backgrounds are of the various bloggers may be. Given time, and if he/she sticks around, I suspect that he/she will turn out to be a pretty intelligent debater and might add a bit of spice to the mix. I think he/she just needs to ratchet down the rhetoric a bit and stick to better discussion techniques.

I actually liked the Bush joke, but you know me, I love humor. The joke was intended to make the point that these violent nut cases don't represent all the left any more than Bush's "putting food on your family" represents the speaking ability of all of the right. Pretty good joke with a pretty good point really.

As I mentioned above I have noticed, just as you have, that there does seem to be a lot of these types of liberals out there; willing to commit violence against people with whom they disagree even though the Left is supposed to be all about peace and people's rights. Obviously it isn't all liberals, but we have had our share of them here who are extremely hateful and lacking in reason that I suspect many of them would also commit such acts. The true Loons.

That was my thought at first too, he/she seems very quick to jump to conclusions after reading one sentence or paragraph he/she finds weird or cannot figure out where the writer is coming from. He/she seems very articulate and presents some solid arguements, but I for one want to see if she/he can be reached and back down when proven WRONG! or if we have just another " Am right no matter what you say person on our hands"

I agree. But as Mason says, once he is called upon it, he does go back and research and restate.
