dream wallpaper - 2 monitors - shortcuts gone

I installed several Dream animated wallpaers and they work great with just my laptop.  When I got to work this morning I hooked up my second monitor, which becomes my primary monitor during the day.  The Dream animated wallpaper works just fine on both screens, however my program shortcuts that are normally on the primary screen are gone.....I have no way of clicking on the programs I need....All I have is a beautiful animated picture on both screens.  When i go back to the control panel and switch to a normal background the normal short cut icons reappear on my primary monitor.  Any advice on how to fix this would be appreciated.
