Possible bug - After loading save, AI raising bounty on map w/no pirates

Yesterday I did a 3v3 multiplayer comp stomp with two of my friends. We were on team 1 and we put the AI on team 2. We picked map Gateway, which has no pirates whatsoever. We didn't finish last night, so we saved to continue today.

Today, when we loaded the game, it seems that the AI started putting bounty on us. We kept getting messages about how the bounties were increasing, then how the bounty was depleted (I assume once enough ships got destroyed). Very strange. Any ideas?

Thanks everyone,

The AI also use bounty as a way to get players other than pirates to attack you (you get credits for destroying one's base if s/he has bounty on their head and who doesn't want free money?).

was one(or more) of the AIs advent? if so it could just be the karmic retribution thing tossing free bounty on you when you blow up a trade ship... I finished my Go Big or Go Home achievement game with over 30k bounty on my head from my cap ship fighters blasting trade ships.

Also, I've never seen an AI do this before, ever. Its probably a bug, or it could be something like my last post

Ah, yes, there were some Advent in there. That makes sense. It's just so weird that everything about the pirates wouldn't get disabled. They should just send any pirate/bounty related stuff to /dev/null.

I've seen the AI raise the bounty on me before and then shortly afterwards I was attacked by another AI. I don't think it is a bug, like previously mentioned I think it's just another way for you to get attacked if that player has money but doesn't want to actually attack you themselves.

I thought you were having trouble getting Sins to play on your machine. How do you know about the bounty system?-HM

I've played the game at a friend's house a few times, and I've been reading the manual while trying to get the game to work...
