Cannot open stardock central

from Stardock Forums

I booted my puter up about 4hrs ago, when I went into Impulse it updated itself and restarted, Impulse is fine but now when I open stardock central it says I cannot log on, check registration in tools , I have done this and still cannot get in, do I now only use Impulse and not Stardock central for everything or is this just a Stardock central server problem.

Appreciate any help on this .

I don't really have an answer for you thug but I'm getting same message from SDC & I don't have Impulse. Things don't seem right with SD today. I'm not getting program updates either. Just thought I'd let you know what's happening to me!

Thanx Duke I seem to be getting a message back saying maybe there is too mush activity on the server and I must retry again later, although that has never happened to me before, thanx for the reply

I had some problems this morning but they have cleared up. I can get in with both SDC and Impulse now. You may want to try and clean out your cookies, cache and browser history and see if that doesn't clear it up for you.

Thanx for reply Philly but the problem seems to have been coming from internet explorer, it wasn't opening as soon as I rectified that Stardock opened perfectly. :LOL:

The IE issue (if you have 6 or 7) could come from bad cookies. Stardock Central is, in a sense, a elaborate browser that only accesses our network. If a corupted setting landed in your cookies it isn't impossible that it could be effecting SDC as well.

Thanx Seabass, once I did a complete Ccleaner of everything, I realised it was something of that nature, but thanx for confirming my thoughts, by the way its nice to talk to a puter literate fish :HOT:  :CONGRAT:

For referance sake I'm not much of a fish. I'm just not able to come up with a good enough new name..... All suggestions have been twarted with a "No we like the Bass. Or don't change it you jerk that will just confuse us." You get the idea. :)

I actually think Seabass is an original name, you shoudn't even think of changing it, plus I have heard through the grapevine,that women like to eat seabass, it is good for there complexion, ah I bet I knew what you were thinkin' when you first read this line :CONGRAT:  :HOT:
