1.04 download

I can join most games with v. 1.04.022 however a friend cannot join my games due to a Game Version Difference.  However he has installed the v. 1.04.022 also.  He is able to join 1 game, with a couple other players, and they tell him that everyone hasn't updated yet.  Has one of us done something wrong, or is this an error?

Download the stand-alone update (click the Update button in-game to go to the page). There was a slight goof-up with the way SDC/Impulse patched the game, and this will make sure you're running the proper version just in case (it should be 1.04.022 AFAIK).

Can both of you join the same games, or can he not join a game that you can? This will probably be because one of yours' patches goofed up.

If both of you can join (or can't join) the same games and you're sure that you applied the standalone patch, it's the other people who don't have the correct one ;)

According to Stardock, simply downloading and applying the standalone patch will write over any problems that the goof-up last night caused.

As of this morning the standalone patch was designated as 1.04 while the SDC update is 1.04.022, but this is in name only. The files installed will be exactly the same.

Oops, so it's supposed to be 1.04 then and not 1.04.022? It's easy to get confused :P

It doesn't really matter since my understanding is that the SDC download worked properly too. Only Impulse users should have to redo, and the easiest way to do it is to run the standalone install, which will put you to 1.04.

This is what I did, but for good measure I also ran the SDC update after that, and that put me to 1.04.022.
