Backstory
Hello all. I am a deap RTS fan and I also loved the homeworld games so once I heard that there was a game like hw but only better I got realy interested :D...I found that every review I sore (ign and gt) this game got a fantastic score and it looked incredably fun :D...I am Australian and I could not bare to wait so I downloaded the game from the store (half the price then the normal retail copy when it is here..) and I am apsolutly loving it!!!

I never played the mmo games or anything so I didnt believe people saying that the game takes up all there time...so I start a sins game at 11am.....stop playing at 8pm!!! :D played for 9 hours straight without eating and without knowing :D

ANYWAY! I have some fine tuning questions I would like answered please!
QUESTIONS
Culture
1) What does culture do? I played as TEC and found there rebellion tech pritty handy but sides these upgrades what does it do? I seem to understand it helps convert your enamies planets that are within your cultures range (indecated by your factions colour lines along the phse lines).
2) If so how do you see what your culture rate is on the enamy planet? isnt the allegience displayed on enamy planets the allegience to the enamy and not yours?
3) At what stage does a enamy planet rebel and become nutural? (or do they switch to your side?) if at all
4) Does having more propaganda towers in one planet increase your cultures exp and growth? or am I just wasting a logistics slot?
5) At first I used the towers to increase the allegience of my distant planets. They do do this right? Over time? (culture growth rate?) if so does my culture need to be connected to my homeworld? (as in all phase lines from my homeworld to the planet are influenced by my empire?

Resources
1) Is there anyway to reduce your fleet size? in my medium game (3 stars) I was top dog in terms of military strength but I started to get outdated by the more advanced ships so I lost a majority of my aggression fleet (my offensive fleet which is the largest) but I was still having the same upkeep costs even tho I had far less ships which made it hard to tech up and build a new fleet. So I was wondering is there a way to drop down in fleet size and then later go back up?
2) Resource refineries I gather just increase the speed of the extractors in your planet right? or do they collect resources from other planets as well?
3) if you have two or more refineries in a single planet do they increase the resources by the same amount each time? or again am i just wasteing money (in my 3 star game I had 1 weak star all to myself so I simply just got max population and layed down 2 culture towers and as many refineries as I could...was this silly as having several is the same as having only one?)
4) Does having more then one trade port in a planet increase trade? or is it pointless to build more then one in one planet?

UI
1) Is there a way to have it when you select a unit in game the tech tree on the left automaticly moves so the selected unit is in the middle? its annoying clicking group one and then having to go to the left and scroll down unitl I find it.
2) Is there a attack move function? In the bigger battles I notice some of my units just dont engage...they just sit there...and when you select them they dont have a order indicator like the other units do...this happens to me mostly for the heavy crusier units...i find they just sit in the middle and not engage...even when enamies are right next to them. I know they are not engaging as i zoom in and see them not fireing...it is very werid...I think its the automatic targetting not working because too much is going on..so is there a way to tell them to kill everything in there path to a point? (attack move in other RTS?)

culture:
1. It spreads and when it touches a planet it lowers that planets allegance.
Allegance effects extraction rates, and tax rates.
A planet at 0 allegance becomes unowned.
Planets in hostile culture cannot be capitalize.
2. The player colored lines.
3. see 1.
4. It increases the spread rate and allegance change rate, but there is a cap of change per second. IMO 8 cultures on one planet doesnt' do nearly what it should.. and is so easily stopped.
5. Yes but a planet can't raise much higher than it already is. It's maxed allegence is based on distance from homeworld. I think it's a max of +10% or +15% more you can get from culture, i stopped playing much in 1.03 and forgot. ;o

resources
1. Reduce fleet cap? That would be neat, wouldn't it? But no unlearning research now. A sell back thing would be neat for a content patch though, Ironclad. :)
2. The planet they're at and the ones 1 jump away. Max of 3 planets i think?
3. They stack. Would be silly if they let you build a lot that served no purpose.
4. Yep.. hover over your income and it shows you what is giving yuo income.. serves good purpose for testing.

ui
1. double click, or shift, ctrl, alt click or something. One of those things i just do without thinking so can't recall.
2. Sadly no.. It's in space yet you can't have your ships turn to strafe by something and shoot while attack moving like homeworld. :) Something even better for a content patch. :P

The bigger issue is that ships don't remember their attack orders when you give them a move order or trigger abilities. This needs fixing asap. :/
