How to build a colony

Hi,

sorry for this question, but this is my first time with GalCiv2. I have the german language version.

I insert 100 people in my colonyship and send this to an yellow planet. Now how i can start the colonisation? I found nothing in the german user manual.

Some planets can't be colonized. Hover your mouse over them to see their planet class. If it comes up as 'Planet Quality 0' it cannot be colonized. Also, if nothing at all comes up, then you may be looking at a star system and not a planet.

Have you tried using the in-game tutorials? They can probably explain better than me. :(

If you are playing Dark Avatar, you might also be trying to colonize a world with an extreme environment. You need to research or acquire technologies for those worlds.

I'd recommend more than 100 colonists, too. The colony population will grow much faster, which helps if you have enemies trying to land troops soon after you colonize a planet.
