Poll Results: Skin Changing

Last week I asked what part of your UI you change the most often.  Was it wallpapers, skins, icons or app-specific stuff like ObjectDock or RightClick?  Personally, I figured wallpapers would win out by a wide margin, with skins coming in a distant second.  Turns out I was wrong...

Skins won out, with wallpapers following very closely behind.  Icons and application skins shaved out only a small percentage in terms of frequent changes.  With folks changing skins so often, I wonder what you're changing to.  Share a few of your recent favorite skin choices in the comments below.  Spread the GUI joy!

A lot of people,like me, don't use everything.  I use WB, CursorFX, OD+, Dreams, LogonVista and wallpapers.  So it was a toss up of WB's or walls.

Thanks, I really like the polls. The results of this one were not too surprising though, except I thought cursors might have beat application skins.

I'm frankly blown away that people change their WB more often than their wallpaper. I know I change my wallpaper almost daily, but I stick with a skin usually longer than that (unless I just downloaded it and it's atrocious) . . .

With all the nice Premium and master skins coming out I'm not that surprised that people change OS skin that often. On my XP system I change wallpaper a lot..but that is because of Natural Desktop :) on Vista I only change if my wallpaper doesn't fit my WB skin, which I change every time I see a skin I wanna try. Favorite skins well anything from StardockDesign members normally rocks my world. SkinPlant, Pixtudio, Mormegil, PixelPirate (go Denmark) and Essorant skins :)

Personally I don't see the point of changing wallpaper a lot, I hardly see it. So definitely the OS skin would be tops, also there have been so many good WB skins coming out that you just want to use them all.

Lets face it the vista skins are boring and they're all look alikes and thats a bore. I use the skins from a few years ago. Here are some of my favorites, Eclipse, Art Work,Antares, Alien Technology, Airlock, Azenis, BBX Mecury X, Ceirous SX. This is just a small sample of what I use. Most of the Vista skins are just plain and tasteless after a while.

I change my blinds and wallpapers once aday when i start up every day donot use the vista much no style in them but have some in my colection

I stick with a setup for a few weeks usually, but I change them all at the same time: wallpaper, then find a matching blind, then icons that will go with it, cursor to match, etc.
