BOOT SKIN BSOD

vidstub.sys error

I have a new comp that i tried to install Bootskin.

I get a BSOD that vidstub.sys tried to write to memory.

I'm running XP SP-2 on an EVGA 680i SLI mobo, 6600 quad core,2 gig ram OCZ, 2x EVGA 8800 GT vid cards.

I tried all the different versions of bootskin and get the same thing every time.

Have to use the last good version to boot.

Some folks are lucky, like me, on an XP SP2 32bit system and never had a problem with boot skins.

If you look at most of the old posts in the forum it's been said it's because of the bios. If you can't get one of the three versions to work, then you are not one of the lucky ones. (:(

Not sure if there is another program out there for boot skins. :NOTSURE:

There is a BootVista in the works for all the boot fans. However Bootskin is as dead as dodos. With the three versions it really is hit or miss and Philly is correct it seems to have something more to do with the bios than anything. Bootskin is nice but I wouldn't go messing with thoes settings for just a quick skin at launch.
