I want to ask, if you have a trade alliance with the AI, does that mean that it won't attack you.

I am playing a large map being TEC, and two AI advent players are asking me for trade alliances, in the middle of a firefight with them.  After i accept their offer, their ships refuse to leave.  WTF???  that is one hell of a funny trade alliance, i mean, if you are going to trade with someone, you should not be attacking them too. 

Also, in one of those fire fights, the Vasari showed up, and i expected to fight two AIs at the same time, but NOOOO, they all packed up and leave.  Soo, is it possible to have multiple AIs come knocking at my door at the same time.  I just want to have fun with them, i promised i will play nice.
