Save games not tranferring?? Help please D:

Ok so I just got Sins a few days ago and I had a HUGE 5v5 single player map going(Is there a campaign btw?  :SURPRISED: ) Anyhoo I got the patch and now it won't let me run my save file!

Is there a way to convert the save file to the same save file as the patch so that it works? Can I just change the file type or summat?
Please help cuz I really wanna continue that game  :SNIFF!:

Unfortunately there's no way to update the save file so it works with the latest version :(

Really?
Well, do you know where save files are...saved?
I've looked in the Program files in the Stardock folder and I can't find them, checked my application data, and checked my documents.
Did I just overlook them??
I hope there's a way or else Imma be seriously pissed :[

They're saved under your user profile, not Program Files. Where precisely differs depending on what Operating System you run.

Had the SAME problem.....spent 4 days playing a game in 1.00 updated to 1.03 and now can't open any AutoSaves of my own saves...

HUGE mistake by development IMO!!!!!

Also, Good luck if you have any Mods from 1.00 as it appears most will cause Mini Dumps in 1.03!!!!

It's not a mistake. It is inconvenient for players, but many games (not just RTS games) when patched render the old saves incompatible. It's the nature of the way game engines are designed. It's always best to research whether they will work before upgrading.

Yea I read it when I dled but I thought the patch had been installed bcuz I ran the setup, except it didn't complete?? Idk but I started playing and then I realized that at the bottom it said 1.00 so I was like fuck D:
And then the next day(today) I put on the patch and yea no working D:
And I know a lot of games do that, but a lot of games also convert it.
For example, Rome Total War.
It deems the replays u save incompatible, and it says that they might be different.
It still allows u to play them.
And the saves work just fine.
In fact, this is one of the only games where save games are not compatible when you patch it.
And you need to patch this game to play online.
So I'm hoping that the next patch will still be compatible.

It won't......reading before doing anything is your friend you know.  :D

It simply depends on the game engine and what kind of changes were made. Even FPS games sometimes do this. I remember distinctly that the first patch for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. "broke" save games.
