Using a system mouse cursor

I was wondering if there was any way of using a system mouse cursor instead of the default graphical one?

I have all sorts of rendering and performance problems with the default, and had similar issues in GalCiv - which has an option to turn it off and use a plain vanilla system cursor.

Any way of doing the same in Sins of a Solar Empire?

There's no hardware mouse option that I'm aware of at present, sorry.
