Freelancer Modding

Hey guys, i was wondering if it was possible to make a freelancer mod.

And i was wondering if there is anyway to take a capital ship model and make it so it can be colonizable so we have stations like on freelancer that can be used like planets?

This could be very helpful in the map i am making.

You would need to replace the planet model with the capital ship model.

freelancer was such a good game. i just remembered it a couple days ago coincidentally.

I still play and, I think this could be a fantastic mod. Add the five houses as five different sides. I am definately up for helping out with this one if it actually comes to anything.

The best thing about it is, since we have a pretty clear concept about this, then it could be more straightforward than other mods.

PM me or whatever if you are thinking that you might be interested. We'd need a full compliment of developers though, modellers, texture artists etcetera. I could probably do most of the coding though...
