Skin Modification - Want to combine Leo and Eminence

Hello there,

As a windows blinds noob I am blown away by the features this program offers, but at a nigh complete loss as to how to use them.

I really like the whole of the Leo theme, with the exception of the start button. I really like the eminence start button, but the theme is too dark for me. Is there a way to swap the start buttons? I don't have skin studio. I've been playing around and I have got leo everything else with the Eminence start bar (it would appear that I set the eminence start bar as the default somehow!). But it makes MSN look ugly and the silver and black clash!

Thanks for any help, this program is amazing.

Best,

Ron

Are you using the trial version or full version of WindowBlinds? The reason I ask is I'm not sure how many of the function are turned on or are available in the trail version. You might try opening WB configuration and click on Colors under Look and Feel and see if those adjustments work.

If you had Skin Studio you should be able to take parts from each skin and essential make yourself a new skin. Of course it would be only for your own use.

Hi Philly,

Thanks for the quick response!

Its the full version. I did have a look under colours under look and feel but I couldn't get it to work. I also tried changing the system colours, but again couldn't find the "TaskBar" or "Start Bar" bit.

RonBurgandyRocks in WindowBlinds configuration under setting look at skinning settings. That I believe is where you can set to use different taskbar and start menus with your WB. Still don't know though if using the color control setting will effect any overall change. We are going to need a Stardock rep or someone a lot more knowledgeable then me. I've never tried what you are before.

EDIT: Go into WB configuration and copy your system information and post here. That may help someone in answering your question.

Philly,

Thank you so much for your replies, I have found a simpler option! I really like the theme GT3 OS, so have just gone with that one. If I do work it out at some point then I shall post.
