Windows Classic revert w/ very little change

I know there have been a lot (too many) of these questions but I thought it would be worth a shot to post...I've got the windows classic problem too. I am running the purchased version of WindowsBlinds 6 I installed by downloading from a browser (Firefox). When I try to install a theme, it always reverts to the Windows Classic theme with *sometimes* the following changes: a new background, and/or a new colour of the top bars of windows. Keep in mind I'm not as good with computers as everyone here and I don't understand the tech language half of the time so someone might have to give me a simplistic explanation, if one even exists for this problem.

Thanks!

Since you bought WB, I'd uninstall, reboot, and I'd install Stardock Central and update from there.

Well support is on Easter Holiday and won't be back until Monday. Unfortunately what you are describing shouldn't happen with paid version, very strange. There are a few things you can try.

Since you have an NVIDIA card, turn off nView. Should see it in the systems task bar, right hand side of task bar. Even though you can load from any browser a lot of times people will end up with a bad download. Go to this link WWW Link and download Stardock Central. It's a download manager that really works well. It's free. Once you do that, uninstall WindwoBlinds, if you have a registry cleaner run it to remove all links to WB then reboot. Use Stardock Central (SDC) to reinstall WB and reboot again.

Hopefully this will get you running. Post back and let us know what happens.

Remember: uninstall, reboot, install, reboot

Rebooting is a boring, but necessary step ;)
