Ship targeting

Where do I find, and how to change the Focuse fire ability. Like in the "sin enhancement mod" ships target different ships depending on who they can hurt best. SO they all don't focuse fire on a ship...I want more "epic" of battles.

How do I find that.

I believe each ship entity file has a line for prefersToFocusFire TRUE/FALSE setting. Setting it to FALSE should get ships attacking a larger number of targets ;)

OK cool....so what are the file I'm looking for? I see entity..but dont'really under stand what I'm looking at..plus my notepad doesn't display everything right.

Download the new 1.03 reference data (should be in the Downloads section), that'll give you the text versions of the files. All the capital ships are named CAPITALSHIP_xxxxx.entity, like CAPITALSHIP_TECHCOLONY.entity for the Akkan, etc.

All frigates/cruisers are named Frigatexxxxx.entity, like FrigateTechLight.entity for the Cobalt.

Each of those has the prefersToFocusFire line that you just set to FALSE :)
