When the voting curtain closes

What might really happen

If and this is still a question mark if, Mr. Obama gets the nod from the Democrats and runs for President, I believe some serious hidden racism will come pouring out from our so called Liberal white voters.

While in PUBLIC they pick up the cause of Mr. Obama keeping in line with the SECULAR PROGRESSIVE MOVEMENT. Then when the curtain closes and it is time to vote, the FEAR of having a BLACK President and what he might do to the already downtrodden white population will override any public showing for Obama and they will pull the lever for McCain.

This of course is just speculation but don't be surprised if McCain wins by a landslide all due to Fear!

They call it the bradley Effect, but around these parts we call it the Wilder Effect. Back in 89 when he ran, polls showed him winning comfortably. He won by a mere 5000 votes (out of about 2.5m cast).

IMO, Dems are pretty much hosed right now. Half the dems can't stand Hillary and now Obama's racism is not helping.

I have no doubt that any Republican voting for McCain will be accused of racism, even and especially when he didn't vote for Obama because of Obama's associations with bigots and his utter incompetence and inexperience.

As for Democrats, I don't think those that dislike blacks really think that the office of president is that important. But I do think there will be many Democrats who will realise that should Obama win ALL the points about America's racism will have been proven wrong. And there go many "arguments" for government programmes and discriminatory laws.

It might all be acamic though since, as I have read, McCain is currently leading the polls and is ahead of Obama and Clinton.

What ever they call it, it boils down to closet racism.

Finally people are beginning to understand that Blacks are as racists as whites are, it just has been accepted that blacks have some kind of "RIGHT" TO BE THAT WAY!

Yes now that some light is being shined on Mr. Obama the luster is has been worn down some.

I thought that might be the case before he won so many states on super tuesday.  Obviously, people are still voting for him.  Hillary is my candidate and I think she will fare better in the general election but it should be interesting to see how this all plays out.

For many of us, the general election is going to be anticlimatic. The fun is in the run up to it! ;)

This has been an area that kind of irks me. The Hispanics can have their racism and call it "Brown pride." The Navajo can have their racism but call it, "Native Pride." And so forth.

Somehow I highly doubt that 'White Pride' would be tolerated in the same manner.

The bottom line is racism is not healthy, period. I can appreciate Black heritage (we have a whole month for it), Spanish Heritage, Chinese Heritage, Navajo Heritage, etc... Too often we concentrate on our petty differences which are much smaller in comparison to what we share in common.

Sadly, I don't think I'll see that happen in my lifetime.

As long as we continue to let race dividers like Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and now Jeremiah Wright and the New Pastor of Trinity Church spout off their racism and let it be accepted as "it's ok" we will never see any kind of coming together of the races.

Gee I hope so.  I've got two dinners to the Olive Garden on the line.  If McCain wins I eat out.  If he loses, I pay out.

Choosing McCain is again a choice of the lessor of two evils. McCain is so close to being a Democrat that he could switch parties and no one would know the difference!

i first came across that phrase when i dropped by for a look around about 2 weeks ago and i'm still as mystified by it as i am when fellow residents of my new domain (middle tennessee) predict obama's victory is inevitable cuz 'all the blacks are gonna vote for him.'

apparently 10% of the population is now a majority and the strong rendered weak.

It's like I step into the twilight zone whenever I read you blogs.  The already downtrodded white population?  Are you effing serious?  You should take a few trips out of your vacuum of social understanding.  I really am not the type to insult anyone, but you're blatantly out of your skull.  Do you realize that it was only less than 40 years ago when many treated black people like animals basically.  What planet are you on where that won't make a difference?  I'm speechless, the downtrodden white people?  What are you downtrodden because Starbucks has been having issues with their service?  Are you downtrodden because your latest drive to Blockbuster cost you an extra 50 cents in your Chevy v8 pick up?  I mean JC open up a window and breath reality.  Go to Africa/Latin America/South Asia and tell me how downtrodden you are.  I hate all bias.  Don't get me wrong, I have terrible disdain for Jackson, Sharpton, and their "posse" but you are exactly like them.  You, much like them, fear change.  Heck we all do, but don't wear it on your sleeve.  Do some traveling for gods sake.

Gee I love it when a complete stranger thinks by reading what I write here on Joeuser they have some inkling about how I live my life, what I might or might not do, where I have been or not been. One day after your 12th birthday when you stop knowing everything about everything maybe then we can trade insults till then, try to do well in grade school.
