I keep getting long lag spikes :(

Probably something wrong on my end , but its only been happening lately in 1.03.

With some hosts , I get really annoying long lag spikes. The spike lasts for 5-10 seconds , then becomes smooth again. Then maybe after 30-40 seconds it starts again. With other hosts I have no problems , but it seems to crop up every now and then.

My ping is usually in the region of 50-60 .

Is anyone else getting the problem. Its really bad for me , because it means Ill mess up peoples games , but because it only happens in once every ten games I play , I try to take a risk.

I have no port fowarding , but I only join games. I have no firewalls either , no programs running. Done ccleaner , everything really. :/

Since it's a synced peer-to-peer game, if one person lags, everyone lags. So if it's only happening to you in some games, chances are it's another player at afault.

As I've pointed out several times. Since SINS is of a P2P nature, all players (clients and host) should follow the instructions in my guide (Networking and SINS) in order to have the least amount of network-related issues.

Once again, the host doesn't really "host" anything in SINS. The host simply "synchronizes" the simulations that are simultaneously being run on all clients.

thanks,
