The New (old) Soul Food.... Chinese!

After a super crappy day at work, I got home about 7:45 and was exhausted. My darling hubby was watching the twins game and didn't want to miss a second, and I was to tired to even zap somthing in the microwave. My Jasyen asked how I felt about Chinese... I felt great about it!

We called in an order to Happy Garden Chinese in Downtown Minneapolis. In less then 15 minutes a nice guy showed up with a bag full of treats. Chicken fried rice and Jasmine rice for me, Beef fried rice and sweet and sour pork for Jay.

It is amazing how good food can change your mood! It was an added bonus to have it delivered to our door and have no dishes! I am in a much better mood now that I have a full tummy!

THe fact that every place delivers for free when you live downtown in a big city makes me wonder why we don't order in every night.......

There is somthing about sitting on the couch with your honey with takeout boxes that beats a lot of the "romantic dinners" out of the park!

I am not a fan of curries I believe... Chicken fried rice and a glass of cold milk mend the soul though!

Someday I'll write a proper blog about food, right now I'm a little tired. (Thanks for the suggestion on the food and blog topic.) I did have fried rice for lunch today, had to walk out to a nearby food centre for it. Although fried rice is common here, I don't always have it. I ordered a plate of seafood fried rice - fried rice with crabcake bits and chopped up shrimp, and little bit of spring onions and chilli. I added a sunny side up egg to go with it. It's filling, I felt sleepy in the afternoon as a result. Gonna have something light for dinner, maybe a bowl of noodles.
