Unable to read text in game or anyhting

I jus started the game and the text is incredibly tine, i cant make anything out of it. I tried changing resolutions but its the same, the text for interface boxes looks like a line and i am unable to read it or play. Anybody with the same problem and any fixes? Running a core duo 2.66 with 2 gig ram and Nvidia 8600GTS. Thanks
