Sins of a Solar Empire fails to update

When I update this game through Stardock Central I get an error saying my account information is invalid. I looked at sin.log and discovered it's using an old email address for my account, so that explains it. Unfortunately I can't change my email back since it mysteriously blocks mail from Stardock.
It uses my outdated information because it inexplicably reverted to my old email address when I purchased the game. In fact, it does that whenever I buy games here! Anyhow... is there a way to fix this?
