Help with Bootskin issues!!!

I installed the Bootskin software with no problems. I downloaded a few skins and installed them with no problems. My problem is that when my PC starts, the skin color is distorded and when it is passed it, it messes up my monitor's screen resolution. My monitor is a HD screen that needs to be set to a resolution of 1680x1050. Do I need to change the resolution of the bootskin? If so, how do I do it? Any other ideas. I'm new to this whole bootskin theme thing. Thank you!

You can't change the resolution of a bootskin, it has to be 640x480, 4 bit color. Is the display still screwy even after fully booting up, is that the problem?

I had to bring my PC in "Safe Mode" and from there turn off BootSkin. Then once restarted, my Monitor was just fine. For some reason the Bootskin changes the settings of my monitor.
