Should I use them?

 :)  Hi, I'm absolutley new to skins and themes. So I was wondering if they would slow down my XP. Because I absolutley can't stand a slow computer. BTW I got a XP Pro, 80 GB. I really want a cool black vista theme. So if anyone knows of one please tell me. I greatly apreciate all your help.  :CONGRAT:

No, Windowblinds shouldn't slow you down at all. Any more specifics for a "black vista theme"?

windowblinds is an awesome wat to change themes and once you get started if your really into you wont stop....some say that windowblinds is actually faster than regular theme....get it...you'll love it!!!

Actually windows makes your computer run faster...I seem to have seen an article on the subject on wincustomize some time ago.

PhatIce using any of the skins and themes here will not slow done your computer. A lot of folks are still running XP, as I do and have not had any slow down of operations. Having said that, the amount of memory you have on your computer and your processor will effect the speed of your operations. I have a P4 2.6Ghz processor with 2.0GB of ram and run XP Home SP2 and don't have any problems.

Now you do understand that in order to use any of the skins or themes you will need a program to run them for instance if you want to download a WindowBlinds skin you will need the WindowBlinds program to run it.
