Bootskin problems

I have followed a tutorial for making a boot skin to the letter 3 or 4 times using cs3 extended and I cannot for the life of me  A. Make the thing Load with bootskin program and B.Keep the colours it just goes all fussy. Could somone please help me if I emailed the image. I was so excited you know wow how cool make my own boot skin and well now I feel very inadiquate lol. Can somone please help.   My email is [email protected]

You may just have a version of Bootskin that will not work for you. On the bootskin download page there are a few versions. However the program is unsupported and has not been updated in about four years. If all three versions of boot don't work well for you then it might not work at all.

Most common problem when it all looks wrong yet 'should' work for your BIOS [eg other bootskins do] is the colour palette is not 16 and/or is not the same on both the boot image and the progress bar image.

Those need to be the same palette...;)
