A few advent questions

Just a few quick questions I had.

1. Does Malice combine with 1) ruthlessness and 2) Detonate antimatter? So if I did 50 DPS (in theory) with detonate antimatter, would it do 25% more? Or is that only for actual attacks?

2. Is ruthlessness worth it in the short run? I mean, 1.5 isn't that great, though I suppose the range it gives it pretty big.

1) Malice doesn't do 25% more damage.

2) Ruthlessness is simple damage increase. Just like any other damage increase, it is worth it.

I think you missed the point, and the in theory part. IIRC, Malice adds on to damage, so if ****IN THEORY***** I did 100 with a 25% malice going, it should do 125, right?

Malice, as in the capital ship ability? (Need to check the name). Last time I checked, 100 points of damage would deal 25 points of damage to --> *nearby ships* <-- affected by malice. It becomes more powerful with every additional ship you can get under its influence. As such, its great for clearing out pirate bases since they tend to have a lot of pirate ships.

Ah. I thought it just added on damage to what was already done. I apologize

Ruthlessness is not a simple damage increase.

It causes Crusaders to do slight damage to all nearby ships. Constantly.

The damage is low, and it doesn't stack, but it still adds up, especially against foes that spam huge groups of frigates.

Now if it just didn't make that AWFUL NOISE constantly...

Note: Malice + Cleansing Brilliance = Good Things
Animosity + Vengeance = Really Good Things

Oh, don't worry, I understand those, I just wasn't sure if it stacked... But whatever. Thanks much guys.

Ruthlessness makes your fleet do 1.5 AOE dps if at least one Crusader is present.
Which is nearly useless because enemy ships can usually regenarate their shield faster than that in combat.

If it was a 5+ dps buff I'd say it's useful, but at only 1.5 dps it's just a placebo at best.
