Wormhole how to use them?

  I have searched the manual several times and cannot find out how to use a wormhole.  If it is in the manual please tell me what page?  I have moved ships to the wormhole but nothing happens, I have tried clicking it and moving ships on top of the hole and nothing happens?  Thanks in advance!

 

P.S.  Awesome game by the way :)

You have to research the ability to use Wormholes(Note that it isn't the same as the one that allows you to phase between stars) then move your ships to the center of the wormhole,and they should appear at the other end.
