Deskscapes Bugs

Hi^^,

its not a bad program at all, but here are several bugs, you have to fix on v1.02:

-"OK" or "Cancel" does not work in the DreamScene-Window, where you can choose the *.dream-files (you have to push the red "x"-button to close the window

-sometimes the window, where you can choose the *.dream-files is destructed, so you cannot choose anything and have tro close the window (or you can choose just a few videos, which thumbnail not maches the video itself)

-You wrote, the program has a very low CPU-usage, but i say, this is NOT true! I have an AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+ and its running with 3.4Ghz (x2), I think this should be far enough to run this program, but even with 3.4Ghz (x2)I have a usage of over 60-80% on some videos! (normally its not under 20% and I tested a lot of stuff!)--->if I stop DreamScene then I have a CPU-usage of 0-2%

I think, before making money with Deskscapes 2.0, you should fix the "free"-version for vista ultimate; with that, you can show the people, that you don't lieve things unfinished...

I hope somebody will read this post and do something

Yours sincerely, GothicIII (and sorry for my bad english...)

This is very dependant on the dream.  Dynamic dreams use almost no resources.  Video dream vary much due to factors around the video.

@Zubaz: I can live with the third "bug", because, my CPU can handle that, but I think almost on other, who don't have such a strong CPU...

The first Bug is the worst of all...

What version of DS are you using?  I cannot duplicate your issue with bug #1 or #2.

What language is your version of Windows?

Yeah, it really is german ;)
OK, I solved my problem:

I found out, that Deskscapes extracts the *.dream-files and save them as ordinary *.wmv or *.mp(e)g under C:\ProgramData\Stardock\...
Now I don't need the program anymore and can use the normal DreamScene to play these files... If you think forward, nobody needs the program anyway...

Ok, folks, this was my last post in this forum^^

Goodbye
