WB icon text backgrounds

This may be a stupid question, but I'm stumped. The icon text boxes on my desktop always have a color to them when I load WB6.02 on my XP machine. The screen shots of the WBs I download never have color to them, and the text background is transparent, as it would appear on a standard Windows desktop. That doesn't happen when I use WB. I can change the color of the text box background by changing the color of my desktop background, but in most cases, I'd like to have a transparent, in other words, invisible text background with only the wall showing behind the text. What am I doing or not doing, and how can I fix this? Thanks.

"My Computer" > View System Info (under system tasks) > advanced tab > settings button under Performance > Visual Effects tab > scroll down to the bottom = is 'use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop' checked?

"use drop shadows...." was checked. I tried unchecking and checking the option several times, with a reboot each time, and regardless of the choice made, the background color still appears in the text boxes.

Make sure your not using a PNG or a GIF as a wallpaper.

Also make sure you have no web content embedded in the desktop (I.e. Active Desktop enabled)

Thanks for all the replies. I'm still having no success after following all recommendations. I use Webshots (wbz, I think) for my wallpaper in most cases, but even after changing over to a generic jpg, I'm still having no luck with displaying a transparent background for my icon text. I can live with what I have, I suppose, but it would be nice to have things look as they should.
