Downloads going to TEMP... help

ok, I have a question.  I have Firefox set so when I click on a download link, it automatically downloads whatever it is to a folder I have created.... a "downloads" folder.  Duh.  However, very often, when I download zip files, they instead go to a TEMP folder, and the folder automatically opens up.  Anyone know how or why this is happening?  And perhaps how to stop it?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

Under tools menu, select options. Choose the content tab and select manage filetypes is zip in that list?

Also do you have DownthemAll or FlashGot or some other download extension installed?

yes, zip is on that list... it says to "download to disk"...

I don't have any download extensions installed...

Just trying any download manager with flashgot.
IDM the best for me, never seen problem with that. You can find many good free like: Flashget, or Free Download Manager.
Download manager allow you select different download folder, for different filetypes. :)

yrag, I deleted that entry, I'll see how that works as soon as I try to download something... :)
