Background Threading?

Can it be used with dual processor machine running Win 2K?

I am running it on a dual processor machine but I have never checked if it actually uses both processors.

Brad runs a dual processor machine and it does take advantage of the second processor

What does background threading actually do? I kinda recall reading about it using some of the doohickys in P4 processors...

All programs have at least one thread, or process, that runs the program. The CPU (central processing unit) of your computer allocates a certain amount of time to each process running on your computer. If a process is multi-threaded, it can be doing multiple things at once without having to wait until it's finished its current instruction. With dual processors or hyperthreaded machines, the background threads can use the second cpu so that it's not waiting at all.
