I was doing some research on the web this evening, and after a series of clicks i found this site. It's part of the Texas Department of Corrections website. it is a listing of the final statements of some of the people executed over the past few years. I read through all of the statements, and it amazed me how many of them found god, claimed innocence, refused to make statements, and apologized to the survivors of their victims.
I do support the death penalty in most cases, but sometimes i wonder if the state of Texas is a little eager to hand out death sentences. Link
