Anyone else feel christmas spirit is just who can bag the most presents and no longer about the cheer and family?

The first thing people say to me over christmas is how many presents did you get? not how was your family; did you have a good time?

Although I like presents the best bit of christmas is the food and sitting down watching Del and Rodney, Moorecambe and Wise again

I know how you feel - I have often said that the "real" meaning of Christmas seems to be consigned to history.

But at least look at the bright side - it is a good chance (if you can) to have a few wee tipples to help the day through
