Particularly uninspired. . .

. . .or simply particularly unispiring?

Whatever the case may be, as can be evidenced by the fact I haven't written an entry for around two weeks now, I have been feeling quite uninspired. In the past I have written articles that have (however vaguely) dealt with some of the zany antics of all of us here. I have also written about music. And at times I have even written about *gasp* personal goings-on (or would that be going-ons?). But lately none of those have sparked even the most embryonic idea for an article.

And I'm not sure why really. Have I just been feeling that uninspired? Or do I find my own writing so jaw-dropingly boring that I don't even want to go to the effort to write something?

Maybe just writing about how boring I really and truly am will spark some sort of idea. *snort*

Nevertheless, I do feel the need to write. If for no other reason than to practice my written expression. So any readers that may be out there (I mean, I got to have at least one, right?!?), be prepared for a flood of inane, silly, and pointless articles. It may just be all that I can muster up at the time.

FYI, a flod of articles for me lately would probably equal more than one a week. Hey, I'm not setting unrealistic goals though.

What I do when I get stuck for ideas (and, believe it or not, I do) is read others' blogs, and hit the archives of the ones I like, then go cruise my favorite news sites. Just a couple suggestions for inspiration.

Muggaz-Thanks man. Trust me, I am hoping I see something good soon as well. But I will be cautious in my optimism.

Gideon-Good ideas, all of them. I have been lurking a lot, reading, but haven't found any inspiration. I think I have had a bit of a bad taste in my metaphorical mouth from some of the current activities going on here. And the news, well, I usually end up frustrated. But I need to try a little harder.

Thanks for the comments, both of you.

blue,

then search the oddball news...like yahoo's "oddly enough". It's much more pleasant. Or sports.

Very true. I usually skim the entries over on Fark.com to see if there is anything particularly humurous in the news. I should check out Yahoo as well.

BlueDev,

Why don't you pop downstairs to Philosophy where we have a very interesting conversation going on in Sally's Blog 'I am goin to die'......it's really quite absorbing.....maybe I'll see you there...?!

The Crusaders - Thanks for the invitation. I may check it out. But I will be honest. Simply mention Philosophy to me and I get all skeered inside. I'm just too dumb to deal with all that high falutin' thinkin' n stuff. Kinda dim upstairs if you get my meaning.

I will pop in though. Can't guarantee I will be productive though. Thanks for the heads up.

BlueDev, glad to see you're blogging again!

I've found that when writing, if it's forced (and when I don't really want to do it or I'm uninterested in the subject), it shows. The best thing to do is either 1) look for a different subject or 2) work from with another angle. If humor is not working, then try to examine from a serious point of view.

Aah...that is where you are wrong there, my friend....it is never that you are too dumb it is only that your interests lie elsewhere......As with myself....I steer clear of politics....perhaps I do feel inadequate in the subject...but it is more that I do not take such an interest...it doesn't grab me like other subjects do.....it is not my priority interest....as perhaps Philosophy with yourself!
But in saying that....it would be great to see you there if you pop in.......it's a little over my head too but it is nice to throw some questions and answers around!!

Dusk411 - Thanks! I understand exactly what you mean. My problem is often I start to write something, can tell I am forcing it, and just scrap the whole thing. I just know it will not work for me. But tackling it from a different angle might work.

The Crusaders - Thanks again. I actually did stop by and read some of the article last night. Interesting different philosophies of life and death going on in there. Some are very different from what I believe, but who knows, I just may come by again and share something.
