Now that I have your attention........though, there is truth in my statement, so please be patient as I come to my point......but to begin with I must say that I have been reading all your blogs and it is amazing to feel the passion in your words which at times jumps off the computer screen and into my heart and mind, for whatever the subject is that has hijacked your heart.
Communication is the tool which can save our world from internal combustion and I am here, now, asking humbly for your assistance..........
I have a vision of a world where all are accepted no matter what their beliefs, background and culture....all are of importance in the grand scheme of life and not one soul shall be forgotten and left out in the cold. Our society is full of atrocities and it can seem an overwhelming task to solve every problem of every individual but I propose we start one step at a time.....today; there is no reason other than fear and greed for people to be dying of starvation. Our governments pay our farmers to burn excess food stores in order to keep prices high.....does this not seem so wrong when there are babes, children, mothers and fathers who have not eaten a morsel for weeks on end. Am I alone in seeing this as morally perverse?
Look at the faces of your children...your wife...husband....mother...brother.....sister....all who you care for ...imagine how you would feel watching them suffer....watching their pain....watching them die and you can do nothing to save them because they too are watching you die....and perhaps death would be welcome as it would end your pain and suffering, your frustration and the invisible chains shrouding you from birth.
Every man, woman and child deserves the fundamental needs of life...clean water, decent food, clothes, shelter and health care....is there no compassion in our hearts to make this so....I am not suggesting at all that everyone deserves to have a sports car, a mansion, yacht and designer clothes but that all should have what is needed to survive and I believe it is time for we, who are more fortunate, to make that extra effort to make it so. If we use our communication skills and join together and use the power of our minds and will we can do it. There are many societies who have people in need of our help and we should not discriminate against any countries people for we are the human race and no country will divide us.
As we need to start somewhere, a focus point will make this easier, I propose that the first people we should help are the refugees in Sudan who have been driven from their homes, their villages burnt, and their women beaten and raped, their men shot and their children too suffer these crimes and now thousands of these people are starving in the desert. We have an obligation to help these people as we would hope they would find it in their hearts to help us when in need. I have faith in us as human beings to do all we can together, as there is strength in numbers, and solve this massive moral injustice and move forward into a brave new world.
What I am asking of you is to gather your family and friends, community and sporting groups and as equals work as one to solve this problem and once we have, we will realize that it was not as difficult as we first thought because we did it together, which is the key to our success and then we tackle the next problem as one and the next and the next .........until we have made our world a paradise for our children and their children's children.
So please, I beg of you, use your communication skills to help and spread the word. We can do it....we can make a difference.
