Oh was today fun.. My back feels like it's having 100000 volts being constantly sent through it. I spent most of the day on my back.... luckly for me I'm a guy and to us that's called "a damn good day".......... *cough*
To add to the joy of my back pain, I've felt like I had the flu most all day. Upon my roomies getting home from work, they inform me that supposedly there have been outbreaks of West Nile virus in our apartment complex.... "Goodie!" I cheer... "Bring it on! West Nile builds charactor!!!"
So I have my two roomies freaking out on me, acting like I'm infected with the plague.. it doesn't help that I groan pretty pitifully when I try and get out of bed... Yes.. sometimes the word "try" is correct from that previous statement....
Now this made me think though... Why is it that when some virus or sickness alert comes out when your sick that people treat you like your going to infect the neighborhood just by burping? And why such paranoia about something like that when they'd just heard about it once on the radio..??
I can't understand it myself.. I can understand caution... I can be a very cautious person.. now more than ever especially involving my feelings... but to be so paranoid of all that's around you? Just because I'm sick, at the same time some virus is in the complex doesn't mean I have that virus... Yeah.. it could be true that I do have it... but chances are I'm just sick...
At least I can say I'm not around my Mom while sick... Normally it's always a comfort to be around you Mom when your sick... but oh no.. not me... My mom's a Nurse.. and if anyone else has a Mom who's a nurse you'll understand... She'll scoff at ya until she see's VAST amounts of blood or hears a loud cracking sound.... And gives no sympathy for a cold or a flu lol
Though I do wish I had someone around brave enough to fight through the virus infected jungle of my room to deliver me some soup....
