Everytime I check the stats on an alien race, the game crashes to desktop. Did not happen before the patch.

Grab Stardock Central, go to the software, free stuff, and grab SmartException. Run that and when it crashes on you we can find out what the cause is. Obviously this problem isn't common since this is the only such report but we might be able to find a specific reason for what's happening to you.

Found out it only crashes when I check the stats on the Alterians. Not too hard to work around, but I did run SmartException through a couple of crashes just for fun.
