Johnny Cash is rolling in his grave.
Or maybe just grinning a little wider.
I love the man in black....umm..platonically. No, country is
not the only music I listen to, but the old stuff is damned good. If you've
ever heard A Boy Named Sue you've gotta know, there's a
sequel. Besides all the childrens poems, Where the Sidewalk
Ends, et cetera, Shel Silverstein (composer of a boy named sue) wrote
vast amounts of very adult poetry, and songs that could never be published in a
childrens book.
Among these, he wrote a version of the boy named sue, where the father finally gets his say. You'll laugh your ass off. Other lyrics to his songs can be found here.
