If your ever in Andorra, not that you should be or want to be, don't be
disheartened my fellow music lovers because there is a music scene. Well
at least music. like most things when you travel, your there only by chance.
a drunken night turned into a sober reality. but there we were surrounded
by mountains on Andorra's nights of nights. the Andorra rock concert not
just rock but metal. and let me tell you what a sight. it was like we were
stuck in a time warp waiting for iron maiden to take the stage. no more giving
shit to Andorra. the first band, sorry no band names, i cant speak
Spanish, was surprisingly good. few covered songs by dream theater and matellica
kicked off their energetic set and was followed up by what appeared to be
originals. half way through one of their 2 guitars fell out of tune and
nobody seemed to care so they just carried on. good point their lead
guitarist was really fucken talented and the normally boring, extended
guitar solos were quite entertaining. the second band, i know, talk about
keeping all the talent bottled up in the one place, was clearly the
crowds favorite. and boy did they look the part, the hair the black t-shirts and
the tight stone wash. they, sorry no name, see above, had some weird lets
merge dream theater with pantera and do both poorly so it sounds bad. but
the crowed loved it, we were pissed and i had found a girl to try my
broken spanish on. all i can say is a soon as the world finds out about Andorra's metal
scene the better. ive been on the phone all day to sony asking them why they
haven't signed any bands from Andorra. they pretend they don't know what
im talking about but i know its a lie. cheers.
