SPECIAL PATROL- at the Espy in Melbourne

Special Patrol played at the Espy on Thursday 17th of June and played an inspired gig after a conscious start. They started to really enjoy themselves when they realised that the small Thursday night crowd really wanted to see them. The 5 piece form Adelaide appreciated their audience and put on an amazing show that is promoting their new CD the “golden mean”. Special Patrol proved themselves as a tight onstage band who performs a beautifully rich show that is haunted by melodies and poetic lyrics sand gorgeous piano riffs, they proved that they are very special indeed…
Special Patrol played 11 tracks including tracks off their new CD The Golden Mean and the EP, previously they have played with the Whitlams, Thirsty Merc and the Camels in Sydney and they come to Melbourne quite regularly, so catch them if you can because they are an excellent live band.
Thanks to the band for one, playing and secondly for chatting to me I cant wait till they come to Melbourne again.

Glad to hear you appreciate Special Patrol's talent and support them. I saw them at UQ and instantly became a fan but their not very big yet, so it's hard to hear more about them. Glad to hear all the reviews are good though and I hope to hear more bout them from you and everyone!!

thanks for reading! if you want to post your own reviews here just let me know because i love heaaring people's opinions about music... i'm not one of those people who is a snob about their music i figure that if you see something you like or dont like then you should be able to express that. i actually travelled about an hour to see them that night so it was awesome to be rewarded with a good honest and rocking band! thanks again buddy. jess.

This is Damian from Special Patrol. I play the guitar. I spoke to you after that last Espy gig.
We found the review while we were at band practice tonight. Cheers for such a good write up. We wanted to let you know we are playing this weekend in Melbourne in case you didn't know. We're at the Espy tomorrow night (Thurs 16/9) and the Empress on Friday (17/9). Love to see all you guys there again. If you're really keen we're playing in Ballarat on Saturday but wouldn't be too disappointed if you didn't make it all the way out there. Hope this gets to you in time !
