Anyone else want a high score list?

Hello,

I'm currently enjoying this game a lot even though I can't seem to ever win. One of the things I like best about these games (like SMAC) is even if you lose you get your name on a high score list with a little description or whatever. Can this be implemented in GalCiv? It would add a nice sense of accomplishment and permanency to a played game. I know there's this metaverse thing but I really would like something offline.

Anyone else?

I have one minor beef too. Whenever the production screen comes up and asks me what I want to build, I can't see the galaxy map. Since I have no idea what planet i'm being asked about (can't remember the names) i have to exit and go look at the map and go back in. Can we get a map for this screen?

If you are talking about the planet screen where you build ships and projects you can cycle through the mini-map zooms and planetary sidebar by clicking the plus and minus sign at the top on the mini-map or planatary sidebar.

A fun thread would be to build a list of characters that could be used to represent each level of a high score list. We could start with Marvin the Martian through the Jetsons and on to Luke Skywalker and Captian Kirk.

i'll have to try that when i get home, but i don't think that's what i meant

i'm talking about when you finish production and it sends you to the planetary production screen, i'd like to see just where this planet is

i wouldn't mind seeing planetary bonuses on this screen too

as for the high score thing, i wouldn't mind helping with rankings, but we sure can't use copyrighted characters

being that when you load up a saved game there is a nice little summary for you, the game can probably keep a good record of what happened in your game

also, whenever i load up a saved game and i'm at war, the other civilization is always "grinding us down" even though i'm kicking their butt, i'd like it to tell me i'm kicking ass if that's what i'm doing
