We were watching some new show earlier, and a segway about Wacko Jacko getting some woman pregnant with quadruplets came on.

"Oh my.." said my 9 year old- going-on-40-something son "I know why he's doing that.  He's just trying to get more kids to molest.  He makes these babies with the moms then tells the moms he hates them, sends the moms away, keeps the babies and molests them.  Then the kids grow up and molest other kids because they were molested when they were kids.  It's never gonna end"

Hmmm.....I'm still trying to figure out how to react to that.....

Well I think he displayed his maturity with his response...it was at least as well thought out as many of the "big-media" analysis were!

I tried not to laugh...it was so...absurd that my 9 year old came out with something so astute...then I just said "maybe, but where did YOU hear about him molesting little kids?  Do you even know what it means?"

He said he read about it in the newspaper and magazines we have laying around.

I'm with greywar, I think it showed a lot of maturity.  At least he understands the cyclical nature of things.
