How about beeing able to give or trade ships directly from the sector screen, ie you click on a ship and select trade
and it starts the trade dialog with that ship (or pile of ships) already selected so you don't have to go and select each ship manually. What i normally try is to put a few ships next to starbase i want to get rid of but don't want to start a war over and give them to the civilization the owner of that starbase is at war with. With a bit of luck they attack the starbase and my constructor (waiting around the corner) can then take the resource.
Problem is that it can get tedious looking up the name of each ship and selecting it in the trade dialog so it would be nice to do that by just selecting the ship and picking the right option.
