Daily Love Tip #84

Present A United Front In Parenting

Unity makes strength, and since we must be strong, we must also be one.

"Mom would let me eat ice cream if she were here," the child pleaded. "No," came the father's firm reply. The child pulled out the heavy artillery by turning on the tears. At this, Dad delivered the classic response, "Stop that crying right now, or I'll give you something to cry about." The boy issued his final threat through pouting lips, "I'm going to tell Mommy on you!"

If you are a parent, the moral of this story is obvious to you. Kids constantly work at evening the odds--and they sometimes outsmart us. Establish the ground rules for cooperative parenting long before your kids can talk. Stick together. Parenting issues can breach even the strongest marital relationship.

United parenting results in well-adjusted kids and stronger marriages.
