Game Mechanics for Beginner

You guys are probably tired of such questions, but I'm brand new and I'm having trouble with the game mechanics...when is a turn over? where is my next ship with move points left? Etc., etc.... Can you point me to some resources for some help? Or give me a little guidance right here? I know this game probably seems simple (on the surface) to 4X vets, but I'm not a vet of any 4X game, and I'm having trouble getting started. Thanks for your help.

Tab cycles through the ships with movement left, or the "find" button in the lower right.

Your best bet is to look through this forum,and the strategy one for help, there have been a few posts on this.

What I found in this game is that it is much less important to actually know when your turn ends. Because of this, the game has more real time feeling than the rest of 4x games, at least for me. And I welcome this.
