I have a secret.

I'm going to get chastised for saying that I have a secret, but I'm just busting to tell someone.

Imajinit knows what the secret is, and he's got a secret of his own.

I'll be able to tell what the secret is tomorrow, perhaps Thursday......but until then I'll tell you that this secret has left me with a huge grin on my face...and Lonesome has an even bigger grin on his face.

Greywar and Pseudosoldier will probably be able to guess what this secret is.

Can anyone else?

My first thought was that Lonesome gets to come home early... but then I was thinking...
Maybe you get to go to Europe!... but then I was like...
What if she's pregnant? but then I realized how blonde I was... yeah. and my final thought was that...
Maybe you get to visit your parents and they can see your kids and all...

But if I only get one guess, I'm going with my first! Don't keep us in suspense too long!

It's none of the above, Sarah.  Nice guesses though.

Think about this aspect of it....Imajinit knows what the secret is and he has a secret of his own...what do Lonesome and Imajinit have in common?

That should bring you a bit closer.  It might not be that big of a deal to anyone else, but to Lonesome, MJ and I it's pretty big.

Yes, the cat's out of the bag, and I'll get fussed at for this but oh well.  I'll write a blog making it official on Thursday, but Lonesome and Imajinit got promoted to Tech Sgt (E-6).

They're both stoked, and justifiably so.

Well, even had I been timely, I wouldn't've guessed. I haven't been to work in a couple months. Not very military minded, lately. (Should've picked up a copy of the Army Times today when I got my haircut.)

I'll be sure to pass on your congrats to both of them. 

Lonesome at first asked me "why do you want to blog about it?"...my response was that I consider you as our friends, and that you have been incredibly supportive about all the crap that's been going on in the past few months...so now that we have some really good news I want to share it with you all.  That, and I want to toot Lonesome's horn for a bit.  He totally deserves this rank, he's been doing a TSgt's job for a while now...in fact, the CMsgt here gave him a set of TSgt stripes last year before he left and said that Lonesome would be needeing them.  Looks like his prediction was correct.

And as for you, Lonesome Traveler, I know I wasn't supposed to let the cat out before Thursday, but shit happens.  Fuss at me if you want to, I don't care.  Just look at all the people here who left responses for you, and know that I'm not the only one who's proud of you.
