I fucking hate these stories. Why some prick with a vehicle would bother trying to drive while loaded....I know he won't get more than a slap on the wrist (under 5 years prison) so I urge you all to try to hurt any drunk driver you know, including INCLUDING yourselves.

What a tragedy. I bet we have more in jail for traffic violations than for drunk driving.

That's a lot eh? I remember at the start of the US GI death season in Iraq some politician (I believe) said the death toll was nothing compared to the number of people killed on the roads every year. I would have liked to have said "yeah well the ones in Iraq are senseless...hey...so are the auto deaths too". I was stumped.

How can anyone refer to someone who killed someone while driving drunk as "a responsible guy"?!  Drunk driving is one of the most irresponsible things anyone could ever do!  Sounds like the couple's family is far more forgiving than I would be.  I think I would have to plow him down with an SUV and blame it on driving under the influence of temporary insanity brought on by the horrible, premature, unneccessary deaths of my parents!
