Error launching map editor for Altarian Prophecy

When I launch the map editor I get an error
"This application failed to start because d3d9.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem." after trying three times to re-install, does anyone have another suggestion.

I did not and finally figured that out. I did not get that with the download for the program.

Are you aware of any documentation on how to use the map and sceneario editors?

Personnaly, no. And I don't have AP. But there are some threads here about this missing dll.

The map editor wants GalCiv 1.2 and when you first use it go to File/New.
