Has anyone else misheard the Advent phrase "Our Animas Stand Ready!"?
anima: an individual's true inner self that in the analytic psychology of C. G. Jung reflects archetypal ideals of conduct; also : an inner feminine part of the male personality — compare animus, persona
enema : the injection of liquid into the intestine by way of the anus
My wife was mocking me all night about these scary ladies wanting to give people enimas...
The other voice actors make a good job of making "anima" distinct on other phrases, but I can't help but hear "emena" every time now.
Makes the Advent even more scary, perhaps.
