Augmented Genome

Just got the game and lovin' it but I am getting frustrated with the lack of information I can find on tech trees, etc.

I am trying to upgrade the amount of capital ships I can create (Vasari) and its telling me I must put one point into "Augmented Genome".

I cannot find Augmented Genome in research anywhere! Anybody know where this is and if I am missing something obvious?

Any help appreciated!

All the capital ship crew and fleet point research is progressive, you need to start with the first upgrade (left-most) and continue from there. "Augmented Genome" is the name of one of the previous upgrades

It's in the fleet logistics tree. Second from bottom on the left side of the research screen, then either top or bottom row, top to get more capship crews, bottom for more fleet support.
